Creative Zen
Creative Zen is the range of mp3 and media players from Creative labs. Creative helped to create the portable digital media player market with its Zen Jukebox before being trumped by Apple iPod's innovative design and marketing.
The latest model from Creative, the Zen Vision, takes the fight straight to Apple with an all singing, all dancing media player that rivals anything from the ipod range. The main weakness in the Creative Zen Vision is in storage space - the maximum size is currently 30GB, half that offered by a top of the range 60GB Apple iPod. The real quesiton is, is that enough to differentiate the two products?
Performance wise, the Vision's screen quality is noticeably superior to the iPod. The output to TV is also higher quality, with the Vision outputting at 640 x 480 pixels whereas the iPod outputs at 320x240 pixel resolution.
